Hey guys! I’m super excited to say that I am going to be learning how to snowboard/ ski this weekend! The plans were to go learn at Killington in Vermont, but those plans are kind of on the fence right now. If I went there, I wouldn’t have to pay for a pass or rent equipment, because the cousins are pros and have traveled all over the world skiing. If I don’t go then I’m going to borrow gear from my other cousins and probably pay for a snowboarding lesson closer to me in New York. I have prior experience with surfing and skateboarding, so I’m not too worried. But with everything I know I’m definitely going to eat shit the first few times I go. My birthdays in June, and I’ve already been asking people for snowboarding gear for my birthday, even though I haven’t even hit the slopes yet. That’s how I am. I jump headfirst into things, even if I haven’t even experienced them yet. It’s a blessing and a curse. I don’t know if I’ll love it, even though I’ve surfed and skateboarded. So, I think renting for the first few times is a smart move. It can be a blessing, because I am fearless. I am a “yes” man. You ask me to do some crazy shit with you, and I am ten steps ahead already. I crave adventure and new experiences. That’s what makes life so fun. There are so many things to do and try. The possibilities are endless. But with this, it’s important to look at all factors and plan ahead, so less mistakes are prone to be made.
Go try something new today.
Love you guys, Lin
